First-ever Evolution Lido sails in action at Huntington Lake

In July we worked with the Evolution Sails head loft in New Zealand to develop a new design for Lido 14 sails. These sails were designed on the same software and cut and seamed on the same equipment as the highest-end race yacht sails made by the New Zealand loft —then shipped to the Ventura loft as unfinished panels. We completed the build in Ventura, including the final true up, corners, edges, battens and the rest.
The sails had a stellar performance at the Lido 14 National Championship just a few weeks later, earning second place overall and securing the win in two of eight races.

Other One-Design Classes
Other Evolution Lofts across the US and NZ have developed winning sails for a handful of one-design classes including the Lightning, Thistle, VX One, IC37, Melges 24, J/70, J/105, J/109, J/111, J/121, J/88 and more.
Our J111 sails specifically have seen awesome results, helping to win the largest-ever J111 World Championship Regatta in 2019, placing first out of 24 boats with four wins in eight races.
