Designed for easy fun in average conditions and mushy waves.  The butterfish is designed to be ridden with 30% more volume that your standard shortboard.  Extra volume and flat rocker through the middle of the board, bring great paddle power and make the board early to generate speed and plane.  There are a lot of straight line design elements through the middle the board coupled with fine rails easily keeping speed up through flat sections.

A side cut in front of the fins brings great turning ability despite the flat wide planing attributes of the board.  To enhance turning ability and coupled with the sidecut, the channel through the middle of the board and the whole tail is a clever way of increasing tail rocker, without compromising the flat speed generating rocker in front of the channel.  The step in this transition allows fast water flow with reduced tail drag when high lining down the face.

The tail is available in a slightly asymmetrical option with the heel side rounded.
