This board was made a year or two before the "Pedestrian Ship" the board that won the Electric Acid Surfboard test, the worlds most recognized alternative surf design test.  It features the same full length channels that curve with the outline of the board before flaring out for release by the fins.   These channels help increase the pressure differential of the rail creating more lift and a faster board.
