While you can buy a competitive Mercury cheaper than any other quality one design class (reach out and I can find you all options) the price for Chance reflects the work that has been done fairing and optimizing the hull, and also the top quality paint job.  The boat also has a great sail inventory, rigging systems and is fully tuned.
